"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

oh look at that you did send me something with words! I so do not know how to use this website, it took me forever to figure out how to add images, eek. Umm how do I add you as a freind I like you. I can tell I like you from your thing with the stuff to read about you... whatever it is called...

When you're on my 'user page' there's a button along the sort-of top that says "deviantwatch" and that's how you add someone to your friends list.
